Premma focuses on achieving elegant and cost-effective solutions through collaboration and thoughtful engineering input which is rooted in an understanding of materials and construction. She has extensive experience of the complex refurbishment of historic and grade listed buildings. She enjoys the challenges of sensitively restoring historic fabric, and carefully interlinking modern designs with existing structures, along with the meticulous approach that these projects require and recognises the value that existing structures have in our cultural memory and the part they play in a low-carbon future. Premma is also a technical studies tutor for Architecture at Central Saint Martins, a specialist member of the design council expert network and a member of the Editorial Advisory Group for The Structural Engineer.
