Happy New Year 2023
6 January 2023
Happy New Year to all our clients and collaborators as we take a look back over 2022…
We celebrated the opening of London South Bank University, winner of the IStructE Award for ‘Transformative Sustainable Design Through Minimal Intervention’ while Woolbeding Gardens and Skypool were both shortlisted.
We were delighted, after two years, to have been able to reinstate our annual office team building event with over 70 staff from our London office travelling in convoy to Paris for the three-day trip.
Meanwhile, our engineers continued working on over 400 projects around the world in 2022,
After sharing our carbon data tool EOC ECO2 with the industry we updated the initial platform to roll out version 2.0 and were named ‘Net Zero Team of the Year’ at the Construction News Awards for our efforts.
Our projects have picked up 14 awards this year, including K11 Art and Cultural Centre winning the ‘International Project of the Year – Innovation Award’ at the Facade 2022 Design and Engineering Awards.
Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion group fully formed and kick started our progression and understanding in this field, leading how we as engineers can make a difference both internally at Eckersley O’Callaghan and externally in our projects and work.
We proudly sponsored SheCanEngineer, a Diversity and Inclusion initiative aimed at encouraging and promoting female engineers.
In our Sydney office, Atlassian Central, a groundbreaking steel timber hybrid tower, has started on site and we were also on the competition winning team for the Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway.
We keep on growing! With over 140 staff across the globe, a new office opening in Milan, and five new Directors.
Thank you to all our clients and collaborators for a great year, we look forward to continuing our work with you in 2023.
