Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering Awards Shortlist

We are pleased to announce that four of our team members have been shortlisted for the Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering Awards, recognising their significant contributions to the industry and the diverse talent within Eckersley O’Callaghan. Here’s a closer look at our nominees:


Anna Ioannidou Kati | Rising Star, Technical Excellence
Anna has introduced DfMA facade systems to a sceptical market, elevating them to award-winning standards. Her work in solar shading optimisation and novel construction methodologies highlights her commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.

Charis Cosmas | Inspirational Leader, Consultant
Charis has developed key processes like the project management toolkit, feedback portal, and support groups for young engineers. She drives change by challenging norms and prioritising mentorship, supporting both junior staff and fellow leaders.

Mariska van der Velden | Allyship Champion of the Year
Mariska has led initiatives for a more inclusive workplace, organised EDI social events, and secured leadership support for EDI policies. She also supports colleagues facing mental health challenges and contributes to industry discussions.

Miriam Dall’Igna | Technical Excellence
Miriam has focused on integrating the efforts of structural, facades, and advanced materials engineering teams through computational models. She coaches engineers in computational methods and advocates for digital design tools tailored to Eckersley O’Callaghan’s methodologies.

We are immensely proud of Anna, Charis, Mariska and Miriam for their remarkable achievements and recognition as industry trailblazers.
