RIBA UK Awards 2024 Shortlist

We’re excited to share that several of our projects have made it to the shortlist for the RIBA UK Awards 2024.
Gainsborough’s House is amongst the shortlists for the RIBA East awards. Our team developed a cost-effective structural scheme for a new annexe, seamlessly integrating it with the 16th-century building. This revitalises the gallery space while overcoming complex site access challenges and various design constraints.
In the RIBA South category, both the New Temple Complex and Wadham College have been recognised among the top 12 entries. For the New Temple Complex, we crafted a sustainable design featuring a Larch glulam timber frame lantern structure, complemented by a precast arched temple design. Wadham College we provided Facade engineering services for their innovative New Undergraduate Centre and Aspiration Centre buildings. Each building boasts patterned facades, playing with varying degrees of transparency and opacity.
Among the 76 shortlisted projects in RIBA London, our contributions include The Black & White Building and London South Bank University. The former is a new office complex spanning five and six stories, showcasing a blend of timber superstructure and concrete substructure. Collaboration between our structures and facade engineering teams ensured an efficiently integrated design approach. Meanwhile, the London Road Building represents a significant redevelopment effort, transforming the university’s 1970s structure into a modern marvel spanning 20,000m² across four stories.
