We are committed to investing in the continued growth of our Sydney office, while simultaneously increasing our presence in the region and expanding our services and opportunities across Australia.
Our Australian office was established following our involvement in engineering the world’s tallest hybrid timber tower, Atlassian Central in Sydney, a landmark project at the forefront of our sustainability efforts. Targeting a 50% reduction in embodied carbon and 50% lower energy consumption compared to a conventionally operated building, the project will run on 100% renewable energy from day one.
With Atlassian under construction just around the corner from our Sydney office in Surry Hills, we are excited to see this project take shape while delivering a strong pipeline of diverse projects across Australia. These include the new cycleway extension to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, a university laboratory building, a new commercial tower for Brisbane CBD, multi-residential housing and single dwellings, public park sculptures, sports facilities, and a pavilion.
Our holistic approach combines structural and facade design to create technically resolved and cost-effective designs for projects. Engagement with architecture and industry informs our pioneering use of materials and design methods, while our focus on efficiency and sustainability remains central to delivering successful projects.
Leading our Sydney office is Tom Donald. As both a qualified architect and engineer, Tom brings an integrated design approach to engineering with the technical expertise required for the delivery of complex modern projects. Marley Meemeduma fronts our structural engineering discipline, bringing extensive experience across concrete, steel, timber, CLT and mass timber, and heritage design.
