Collaboration with four architects across nine plots surrounding Wembley stadium, developing a range of facades for 850 new homes and over 200,000 square metres of mixed-use space.

Eckersley O’Callaghan has now collaborated with Quintain on nine plots within their Wembley Park development for a total of 850 homes and 200,000m2 of mixed-use space adjacent to Wembley Stadium.

We have provide full facade engineering services for the complex facade which incorporates built-up walls with hand-laid brick, curtain walling, punch windows and sliding door systems, aluminium rain screens and steel balconies.

The main design challenges lay within resolving complex detailing and ensuring coordination of several subcontractor packages in a minimised slab edge zone, whilst ensuring compliance with the stringent performance requirements.

Given their proximity to Wembley Stadium, the buildings have onerous acoustic requirements to be satisfied by the glazed facades.

Having fostered an excellent working relationship with Quintain and Flanaghan Lawrence for Plots NW06/07/08, we were invited to work on Plot W03, followed by two buildings in Plot W06 with Cartwright Pickard. We then collaborated on two buildings on Plot NW9/10 with GRID Architects and a further three Plots E01/02/03 with PRP, the latter of which is a prefabricated precast facade.
